Shawn Wiler traveled to Lubbock, Texas this past weekend to compete in the NJCAA National Cross Country Championships. He was one of 256 Division I NJCAA men's runners.
Last year, Shawn placed 122nd in the event and was looking to improve on his placing. This year, Shawn achieved that goal and more as he finished the race in 27:44 and placed 95th.
Shawn is the only MNE cross country runner in program history to compete in the nationals twice. "This was an amazing experience for Shawn. He competed very well and ended the year in the top 100 runners in the country," says coach Gahan.
A special congratulations goes out to Shawn on a great 2014 season and best of luck to him in his future endevours.
