Saints Volleyball Defeats Butler CCC

The Saints arrived at Bc3 with the heat on high. The Saints fell behind in game one 8-4, then bounced back to take game 1 (25-21). The Saints got a great start in game 2 from Emily Smith, who gave the team a 6-0 lead. Smith is currently in the top 10 in the country in serving aces. With the huge lead, the Saints allowed Butler to climb their way back, as the Saints suffered from timely hitting errors. Butler then stole the 2nd set (25-27). The Saints changed the offensive scheme in game 3, and it showed. The Saints collected 12 kills as a team, with timely serving from Lily Hadly and Emily Smith, who each had 2 aces. The Saints went on to win the 3rd set (25-16). The Saints looked to take control early again in the 4th, but Butler didn't give in. As the Saints began passing and distributing the ball more effetively, they were also able to capitalize on Butler's mistakes. MNE won the final match 25-20 to edge the win.

The Saints are now 9-7 and will travel to undefeated Jamestown CC on Thursday at 6pm.
