Saints Move to 4-0 on the Season

For the second straight game, the Saints came from behind to take a victory and remain undefeated on their spring Florida trip.

Playing against Delta College early Sunday morning, the Saints fell behind 2-0 in the first inning before tying the game in the second on a sac fly by Kaylee Brooks.

After a two run homer put Delta back ahead in the third, Mercyhurst scored two more in the fourth to tie the game again. Delta once again scored two runs to make it 6-4 but hits by Brooks, Mackenzie Hawley, and Kaelyn Shea tied the game at 6-6 as the game entered extra innings.

Mercyhurst trailed 7-6 going into the bottom of the eighth when Megan Minihane ripped a single to right to tie the game with one out. Hawley then singled before Shea was issued an intentional walk to load the bases. Grace Edwards then smacked a single to right to send Minihane home with the game winner.

Lea Theisen pitched well for the win, allowing just four earned runs while going all eight innings.
