11 Saints Named to NJCAA All-Academic Teams

Academic All-American

The Saints ended their 2016-17 school year with a record (11) student athletes being named to the NJCAA All-Academic Teams. 

The criteria to be selected to an NJCAA All-Academic team is that you must have accumulated over 24 credit hours, must have been an active participant on a team and must have accumulated a 3.60 GPA or higher. Any GPA falling between a 3.6-3.79 was named to the NJCAA All Academic Third Team, while a 3.80-3.99 was selected to the Second Team, and a perfect 4.00 GPA was an NJCAA All-Academic First Team. 

Saints achieving this academic distinction are:

Bailee Wolanzyk - Women's Volleyball - 2nd Team

Grace Edwards - Softball - 3rd Team

Heather Mueller - Softball - 3rd Team

Jacob Norton - Men's Lacrosse - 2nd Team

Joseph Turano - Baseball - 3rd Team

Noah Chambers - Men's Basketball - 3rd Team

Emina Hukic - Women's Soccer - 3rd Team

Kristi Williams - Women's Soccer - 3rd Team

Maggie Pourrajabi - Women's Soccer - 2nd Team

Nichole Ward - Women's Soccer - 3rd Team

Samantha Weinheimer - Women's Soccer - 2nd Team 

There were an additional (22) student athletes selected to the Academic All-Region and All-Conference teams, which the qualifications were a 3.3 GPA or higher. Those individuals will be announced next week.
